Chef Deborah Johnson
Chef Deborah Johnson brings French cuisine and culture to the Lake Oconee community. Deborah attended Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, which is ranked amongst the best culinary schools in the world. After completing her formal training in Cuisine, Pastry and Oenology, she went on to work as a personal and private chef in Paris. Ultimately, Deborah decided to move to Georgia to be closer to her parents and family after living in France for nearly 20 years. Deborah spent several years traveling as a corporate chef, but now she is settled down at her lakefront cottage, where she offers personal chef services, catering services and cooking classes at Lake Oconee.
Chez Vous, which means “at home” in French, is Deborah's personal chef service. Clients are able to set their worries aside as Deborah prepares restaurant-quality food in the comfort of their own homes. Deborah works with her clients to create the perfect menu then buys all the ingredients and prepares them in advance. Her chef services are great for a formal, friendly or family-style event.
Deborah also offers delicious meal plans and catered dinners. Packaged in disposable containers, these meals are ideal for busy families as the food arrives ready to reheat.Deborah offers a wide selection of salads, main courses and desserts ensuring that there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Food boards, however, are her specialty. Whether you are wanting a romantic date night or looking for something to bring to the next dock party, Deborah offers a variety of different style food boards ranging in size. Her food boards serve anywhere from four to eight guests and are able to be ordered and delivered to homes or boats.
For those interested in learning how to cook, Deborah offers cuisine and baking classes that focus on lunch and dinner meals, french baking and desserts designed specifically for her students. Her classes are limited to 12 students and fill up quickly.
