Wakeboard + Wakesurf Lessons on Lake Oconee

Getting up on a wakeboard behind a friend's boat usually means a lot of falls, a lot of guessing at ballast and rope length, and not much actual progress. Georgia Wake Lessons takes that guesswork out of it.

Owned and operated by former professional wakeboarder Brandon Lee alongside a team of instructors with decades of combined riding and coaching experience, GA Wake is headquartered on Lake Oconee, not a traveling operation that visits. Their dock is here, their boats are here, and their instructors know which coves stay glass when the rest of the lake gets busy.

Lessons for Every Rider

Private wakeboard, wakesurf, and boat driving lessons run behind their Super Air Nautique GS22 and G23. Sessions are built around where you actually are, whether that's standing up for the first time or working toward 360s and transfers. Instructors are American Red Cross certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Wake Camps

Multi-day summer wake camps meet at the Armor Bridge Boat Ramp with an 8:45 AM drop-off for a 9:00 AM departure. They also run an all-inclusive boot camp for riders who want concentrated time on the water.

Coaching on Your Own Boat

Already have a boat and want it dialed in? GA Wake offers dockside coaching where an instructor comes to you and works through ballast, speed, rope setup, and surf wave shaping alongside rider instruction. They serve Reynolds Lake Oconee, Harbor Club, Cuscowilla, Great Waters, Richland Creek, Long Shoals, Oconee Shores, Old Salem, and the Apalachee River inlet.

Booking

Most private lessons start at their dock, with directions provided after booking. Dockside pickup is available as an add-on for a small fee. Arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in.
