Southern Cross Ranch is a 150+ horse working ranch just outside Madison, offering guided trail rides for day visitors and full ranch-stay vacations for overnight guests. Whether you're looking for a few hours in the saddle or a weekend away from it all, the ranch has been welcoming riders of every experience level for almost 30 years.
Day Trip Trail Rides - 17 Minutes from Sugar Creek Marina
No overnight stay required. Trail rides depart twice daily (9:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.) on six-plus miles of wooded trails and open pasture, with small, ability-based groups guiding riders through grooming, tacking, and the ride itself. Add a buffet lunch or dinner, or make a full day of it with pool time and riding included.

Overnight Ranch Stays
For visitors who want to stay longer, Southern Cross Ranch offers 17 uniquely decorated guest rooms across six room types, with Bed & Breakfast and All-Inclusive (riding and non-riding) plans available. All-Inclusive guests get up to two hours of saddle time per session, three daily meals, mountain bikes, and access to the pool and grounds.
