Georgia Docks & Seawalls
Docks and Seawalls Built by Hand, Built to Last on Lake Oconee
Owner: Brent Wilson
Is your dock sagging or your seawall eroding?
A failing dock or seawall only gets more expensive the longer you wait. Georgia Docks & Seawalls builds docks and seawalls on Lake Oconee that are done right the first time, so you can stop worrying about them for good.
Maybe you just bought a lake house and the dock and seawall are a mess. Maybe you’ve been patching the same problems for years. And with Georgia Power rules, permits, and licensing, it’s hard to know where to start. Georgia Docks & Seawalls understands, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Why homeowners choose Georgia Docks & Seawalls
Brent Wilson has been building docks since he was 15 and started his own company in 2017. Lake Oconee is his home lake, and it’s where his business began.
Built by hand, with less yard damage. Seawalls are dug out and built by hand instead of with heavy machines, so your yard stays intact. Old docks are cut out and hauled away by barge.
A builder who cares how it turns out. If taking an extra week means a better-looking, longer-lasting job, Brent takes the week. He won’t put his name on anything he wouldn’t want at his own house.
Honest recommendations. With today’s material costs, repairing a badly worn seawall or dock often costs nearly as much as replacing it. Brent will tell you what makes sense for your budget.
Permitting handled for you. Georgia Docks & Seawalls is licensed and holds the erosion control certification required for work with Georgia Power, so the paperwork isn’t your problem.
What they build
Docks: New docks and dock replacements, including max-size Lake Oconee docks (a 16' x 20' pad, 50 feet out, with a 12' wide slip). Brent recommends AZEK composite decking, the low-maintenance gray decking you see on so many Oconee docks.
Seawalls: Full tear-out and replacement with riprap added in front for lasting protection. Seawalls are bid by the linear foot, so you’ll know what to expect.
Boat lift service: Installation and maintenance of boat lift components, including pulleys and repairs, plus canopy installation. (Georgia Docks & Seawalls does not sell lifts or canopies.)
The 3-step process
Call to schedule. Brent will come take a look at a time that works for you. You don’t need to be there if you don’t live at the lake full time.
Get your estimate. Brent measures and inspects, then sends your estimate by email or text, whichever you prefer.
Georgia Docks & Seawalls builds it. The crew handles the permits and the work, and you enjoy a dock and seawall you don’t have to think about.
A 5-year warranty
Every new dock and seawall is backed by a 5-year labor warranty. If the workmanship fails, such as erosion behind a new seawall or decking lifting on a new dock, Brent comes back and fixes it at no cost to you. The warranty covers labor and workmanship, not materials or storm damage.
Don’t wait for it to fail.
The schedule fills up, and lead times can run from a couple of weeks to a few months. Call now to get on the calendar before a small problem turns into a big one.
