The Artisans Village Art Gallery will host a class on painting plein air, "Plein Air Prep", geared to those who have not painted on location. This class would give the plein air artist an idea of what to expect, how to approach the painting and how to complete a painting in 4 hours. The instructor will be Jeanne Trammell.

Jeanne has backpacked and painted plein air extensively in Europe and just returned from a plein air excursion in New Zealand. Her experience, tips and techniques will be great preparation for the Plein Air Paint Out event that begins April 6th.

Jeanne will discuss supplies, setup, considerations in choosing a location to paint, challenges of distance, time and weight, etc. A portion of the class will be spent outside choosing a suitable site from which to sketch/paint. The class will then set up easels and paint.

Jeanne will email a supply list to be used for this class.
