Come From Away AUDITIONS — Presented by The Lake Country Players
The Lake Country Players bring the Tony Award-winning musical Come From Away to Festival Hall in downtown Greensboro this November — and LCP is proud to be one of the first community theaters in the region chosen to premiere it.
This New York Times Critics' Pick tells the remarkable true story of the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, that opened its doors to 7,000 stranded airline passengers in the days following September 11th. Beginning one month prior to production, rehearsals will move to Festival Hall, 201 N. Main St., Greensboro, GA. Rehearsals the week prior to production and the week of production are mandatory unless cleared with the Director at least 2 weeks in advance. And will be held Monday-Thursday 6:00-8:00 and Sunday (Tech day) will be from 1:00-5:00. Rehearsal schedules will be adjusted as deemed necessary by the Director.

At the mercy of foul weather and a malfunctioning mechanical shark, tensions rise as alcohol flows, egos clash, and tempers flare. What unfolds is a raw, humorous, and deeply human look at the chaos, conflict, and unexpected camaraderie that may just lead to cinematic history—if it doesn’t sink them first.
