Get ready for a spooktacular evening of family fun! Downtown Greensboro and Greene County High School are teaming up to host a FREE Community Trick-or-Treat on Tuesday, October 28th from 5:30-7:00 PM at Greene County High School.

Kids can enjoy a safe, festive night of candy collecting and Halloween excitement as local businesses, vendors, and community partners hand out treats. (Please note: vendors will be set up around the school, not at the football stadium this year.)

Get ready for a full day of flavor, fun, and friendly competition at Madison’s 19th Annual Downtown Chili Cook-off & CASI GA State Championship Open Cook-Off, taking place in Town Park.

Festivities begin with the Firefighter Fall 5K & Kids Fun Run—a great way to kick off the day. (Details available here)

The main event opens at 10:00 a.m. with live music on the Toe-Tappin’ Music Stage along Second Street. Explore the Marketplace on the Great Lawn, featuring locally grown and produced food items and handcrafted goods from talented regional artisans.

Hungry early? Food vendors will be serving up delicious festival fare starting at 10:00 a.m., with the beer garden opening at 11:00 a.m.

Chili sampling begins at 12:30 p.m. sharp, with tickets available at two gates starting at NOON. For just $5, attendees receive a sampling wristband, a spoon, and a People’s Choice ballot—your chance to taste and vote for the best chili of the day.

The competition includes both Open and CASI (Chili Appreciation Society International) categories, along with prizes for showmanship and the coveted People’s Choice Award. Winners will be announced around 3:30 p.m. from the Pavilion Stage.

Southern Wrestling returns to OBC!  The ring will be set up in the Event Center for this family-friendly Wrestling Night at Oconee Brewing!

Lakepoint Community Church invites everyone to embark on a captivating journey that beautifully narrates the story of Jesus's birth. As they proceed, they will encounter enchanting scenes with live animals that can be petted while the enchanting Christmas story unfolds.

Join in the holiday cheer with the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center’s annual Community Holiday Concert! Spend the afternoon with Madison County’s community’s festive songs and dances.

There is no admission to this event, but tickets must be picked up from the cultural center. Starting November 30th tickets will be available for pick-up (limit to 6 per person). Although there is no admission, the donation of canned goods for the Caring Place are greatly encouraged.

This year's parade will take place in the evening. They will also have food trucks and vendors on the Courthouse lawn before and after the Parade.

We'll be parading through Downtown Madison to ring in the Christmas Holiday!

The Holiday Parade will feature floats, walking groups, vintage cars, horses, dogs, dancers, and the award-winning MCHS Marching Bulldog Band, all decorated to this year's theme - Twelve Days of Christmas.

After the parade, join friends and neighbors for our annual Caroling by Candlelight celebration in Town Park. An evening full of music and holiday spirit brought to you by Madison Main Street. Enjoy a free concert by The Missile Toes with songs to warm our hearts and move our feet. The band will also lead the crowd in familiar carols to extend the holiday cheer.

In addition to the musical show, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the Elves will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes. Kids are invited to sit and chat with Santa and Mrs. Claus or leave a special letter for speedy delivery to the North Pole.

Lake Country Books & Gifts hosts a purrrfectly festive morning with local author Amy Pulliam, who will be reading from her delightful book, “Christmas Cats!” Get ready to be entertained by a furry cast of feline friends in this heartwarming and unique event.

This in-person event is a must for cat lovers, kids and anyone wanting to get into the holiday spirit. A special feline guest will also be in attendance!

Included in your ticket is meeting the author, a live book reading, a copy of "Christmas Cats", picture opportunities, and more. Tickets are $25 per kid and adults get in free!

The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center is hosting a seasonal supergroup event showcasing local talent, led by internationally recognized artists Sam Burchfield and his wife, Pip the Pansy, along with the husband and wife duo Cicada Rhythm from Athens, Georgia.

The concert will take place on Friday, December 13th, in the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center’s Hall on Foster, promising an exciting and festive evening with performances of well-known favorites from Vince Guaraldi and Burl Ives, as well as deep holiday cuts from Paul McCartney, Chuck Berry, and Marvin Gaye. Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the show beginning at 7:00 PM.
