Lake Oconee Life exists to connect people to the best of Lake Oconee—and to each other. We’re here to celebrate what makes this place special, support the people who make it run, and make it easier for locals and visitors to feel like they belong.

Our Mission

Our mission is to be with our followers for every chapter of their Lake Oconee journey—from the first visit, to planning the next trip, to seriously considering a move, to becoming a neighbor.

Holly Hackinson

Founder

  • LOL-ing since: I founded LOL in January 2018

  • Morning person or night owl: Definitely a morning person. That's why I get up at 5am. I love my "me time". My favorite hour of the day.

  • Dream job as a child: To be a school teacher.

  • Introvert or extrovert: Introvert by nature. I have worked hard to become an extrovert.

  • Fun Fact: My daughters (Madi & Tory Leigh), our dog Nina, and our cat, Peanut, and I all lived on our houseboat for 9 months.

Ella Schnobrich

Social Media and Event Manager

  • LOL-ing since: 2024

  • Morning person or night owl: Morning person! It’s honestly my favorite time of day!

  • Fun fact: I was a competitive dancer for over 10 years! Even though I don’t compete anymore, I still love dancing very much!

  • Favorite drink: I love a good glass of red wine, but if I’m feeling spicy, a skinny marg is my go to!

  • Favorite show to rewatch: Modern Family and Friends! I restart them the minute I finish them. I’ve probably seen them both about 15 times now.

  • What are you passionate about? Traveling! I hope to travel all over the world eventually! So far I’ve been to about 11 countries! The next place on my bucket list though, is Japan!

  • Fun Fact: My fun fact is I started the Lake Oconee Life TikTok at ten!

  • Celebrity Crush: Chloe from Beverly Hills Chihuahua.

  • What’s your biggest asset to the company? I’m very punctual. I know exactly when my 11am and 5pm walks are about to start and I never miss them.

  • Favorite Author: Oprah Winfrey. I love my self-help books.
