Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA) announces The Big Event. This free one-day festival takes place on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lake Oconee Village located on Commerce Drive in Greensboro, Georgia.
The event features 120 local businesses including home builders, remodelers, suppliers and many other companies associated with the industry such as mortgage, pest control, appraisers and more. In addition to home and garden vendors, The Big Event includes lots of craft and food vendors.
Why The Big Event
The purpose of The Big Event festival is to educate and inform the Lake Oconee Area residents and guests of the products, services and personnel of the Lake Oconee Area Builders Association (LOABA) and to promote its members, suppliers, and associates.
EAT
Food will be available from Chick-Fil-A, as well as food trucks from Farmers Funnel Cakes, Queen Churro, Five Finger Philly, Travelin Tom’s Coffee of Lake Country, Just Loaf’n, Kona Ice and Island Chef Café will be on-site selling meals.
DRINK
Beer and Wine Proceeds from the beer and wine garden benefit Wild Jaeger Veteran Adventures.
Entertainment
A special FREE Kids Zone offers face painting, games, photos and a few other surprises.
Entertainment from the local community includes local groups showcasing their talent. Back by popular demand: Saltamacchio Karate and The Arts Barn. The event kicks off with the Lake Country Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol presenting the colors. They will be onsite throughout the day to answer questions.

Parking
Parking is FREE. Attendees are encouraged to park on the backside of the complex. There is ample paved parking. Overflow parking lots are available offsite. For those that may not be able to walk the distance, there will be FREE trolleys from the designated parking areas. Look for parking signs along Linger Longer Road.
Well-behaved, leashed, and vaccinated Pets are welcome.
