Fireworks at Great Waters
Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026
Time: Shortly after dark (approximately 9:00–10:00 p.m.)
Location: Great Waters at Reynolds Lake Oconee
One of Lake Oconee's most anticipated Independence Day traditions returns on July 4 as Great Waters at Reynolds Lake Oconee presents a spectacular fireworks display over the lake.
Important: Great Waters is a private Reynolds Lake Oconee community. If you are not a Reynolds member, resident, or guest with property access, the fireworks must be viewed by boat on Lake Oconee.
As darkness falls, the sky above Great Waters comes alive with a dazzling fireworks show reflected across the water, creating a memorable Fourth of July experience for boaters and lakeside residents alike.
Boaters are encouraged to arrive early to secure a viewing location and allow extra time for increased lake traffic before and after the show. Throughout the holiday weekend, Lake Oconee will be bustling with boating, family gatherings, waterfront dining, and Independence Day celebrations across Georgia's Lake Country.
Viewing Information: Non-members and visitors without access to Great Waters should plan to watch the fireworks from a boat on Lake Oconee, as access within the community is restricted to Reynolds Lake Oconee members, residents, and their guests.
