MADISON FEST 2023 IS IN THE PLANNING STAGES. MEANWHILE READ ABOUT LAST YEAR'S OFFERINGS:

Madison’s blooming azaleas and dogwoods herald the coming of a new season, but the celebration of spring hits full throttle on Saturday April 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Park with the 23rd Annual Madison Fest—a free family-friendly event featuring spring flowers, garden plants, handmade arts and crafts, regional food, creative crafting activities, and great live music all day long!

LOOK FORWARD TO ACTIVITIES INCLUDING:

Among the crafters, Madison Fest will showcase distinctive, handmade work and wares of over 75 local and regional crafters, artists and designers selling everything from pottery, woodwork, and jewelry, to handcrafted soaps, candles, preserves, locally grown alpaca yarn and much more. In addition, shop for hardy perennials that will stand up to our summer heat! One-of-a-kind gifts abound—relax and explore!

Ice Cold Beer on the Gazebo Terrace Our friends (and sponsor!) at Amici will sell you an icy cold beer to enjoy on a warm spring day. Beer is on sale from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Check out a variety of Tasty Festival Food at the Second St. food court—grab a bite to eat and sit down to listen to great live music all day long from our Second St. Music Stage! 

Kids of all ages are invited to drop into the free Treehouse Kid & Craft Crafting Tent to create their own handmade masterpiece. Also, at Madison Fest take a whirl on the Chicken Tracks Art Ranch Pottery Wheel—no experience is necessary, bring along your enthusiasm and have some fun!

This year during Madison Fest, The Madison Artists Guild is hosting a one day Plein Air Paint Out in our beautiful Downtown! Painting will begin at or after 9:00 a.m. on April 22 and last until 2:00 p.m. when all of the artwork will come to the Town Park Pavilion for judging and awards. Artwork will be on display (and for sale) from the Pavilion from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.

Discover what the sun really looks like with Charlie Elliott Astronomy, a chapter of the Atlanta Astronomy Club, as they show you the sun through specialized and safe solar viewing telescopes. You'll be able to look for all sorts of solar activity such as sunspots and solar flares. Drop by to see what our closest star is doing in real time today!

Meet David Burke of Tailshakers. Stop by and look into the eyes of some of Georgia’s native reptiles. On display will be venomous and non venomous snakes as well as turtles, tortoises, and an American alligator.
