March’s Meet the Author guest will be national icon Mary Frances Early. She was the first African American graduate of the University of Georgia in 1962. Her courageous path to that important “first” is the subject of her book, The Quiet Trailblazer.

The inspirational book will be the subject of her “Meet the Author” presentation live at Butler-Baker School on Tuesday, March 1st, at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. Admission is free, and the event will also be available on Zoom. The event is being co-sponsored by Georgia Writers Museum and Butler-Baker Alumni Project, Inc. A key feature of this event will be a short interview with Early by local retired educator, Sandra Parham. Contact Georgia Writers Museum for reservations to this educational evening, or visit www.georgiawritersmuseum.org.

Georgia Writers Museum holds Meet the Author events on the first Tuesday of each month. Award-winning authors share their stories, inspiration, and writing process about their latest and best-known works, followed by Q&A and lively discussion with the audience.
