APRIL 24 – FILM FESTIVAL – OPENING NIGHT RED CARPET EVENT AT THE PLAZA
Now in its 5th year in 2018, Milledgeville is expanding to the neighboring city of Eatonton, Georgia for a six-day film festival. It is branded as a Southern Gothic-themed film event, created by filmmakers for filmmakers. This year, we’re kicking off the week-long event at The Plaza Arts Center with the opening night screening of the film “Rich Boy Rich Girl”. Other events include screenings in an outdoor midnight horror film viewing on the grounds of the abandoned Central State Hospital, a red carpet awards show with a Golden Globes style dinner and a Sunday filmmaker’s brunch at Lockerly Arboretum. Women’s Impact in Filmmaking and New Media are two main focuses of interest for this internationally-flavored lineup. 6:00 PM Guests arrive on the red carpet. Mingle with the Hollywood actors and producer/director of the film Rich Boy Rich Girl. See below for a list of celebrities attending. Cash bar available.
7:00 PM Movie begins in the theater – Rich Boy Rich Girl – A film by Reelhouse Productions. Running time 1 hour and 50 minutes. Genre – Romance/Comedy. Rated PG-13. See below for movie trailer and synopsis.
9:00 PM Q/A with the producer/director and cast after the feature film.
