The 4th Annual Sweet Tee Off Golf Tournament will be held at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee, a members only course, on April 23rd. Registration will begin at 9:30am with a shotgun start at 11:30am

The Sweet Tee Off Golf Tournament is an annual fundraising event benefitting the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce and the Plaza Arts Center. The shotgun start may occur at 11:30 am, but volunteers and staff will have been preparing for months in advance for this all-day event. From 9:30 am-11:00 am, volunteers will register golfers for the tournament. Throughout the day, golfers will enjoy samples of food from four of the most beloved restaurants in Georgia’s Lake Country and all-you-can-drink water, soda, and beer.

Last year, first place trophies and 4 bottles of Basil Hayden’s Bourbon went to the Wolfe family. Though these four took home the gold, no one went home empty-handed. Over 20 different prizes including Silver Moon gift cards, golf bags, and gift baskets were given away not only to outstanding golfers who placed in the competition but also to those who could boast the longest drive and closest to the pin on multiple holes.

This event would not be possible without the support of the greater lake area community. The sponsors of this tournament are directly backing the outreach programs of The Plaza Arts Center and The Chamber of Commerce. The Plaza Arts Center provides ongoing outreach programs for low-mid level income children including the After School Arts Program and the On-Stage Programming for all local schools throughout the year. Several scholarships are offered over the year to graduating seniors and children attending The Plaza’s summer camps. In addition, the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce uses proceeds to fund their Leadership Program and provide scholarships for 4 area students to attend college.
