This afternoon program will a conversation with John Lewis Exhibit Curator, Mark Karelson, Director of Exhibitions at National Center of Civil & Human Rights, Lance Wheeler and Andrews Family member, Randy Latimer.
The John Lewis Series is an exhibit featuring 17 paintings by Benny Andrews depicting the life of late U.S Congressman John Lewis and the Civil Rights Movement. They appeared in John Lewis in the Lead: A Story of the Civil Rights Movement by Jim Haskins and Kathleen Benson, a prize-winning book published in 2006 for young readers.
