Scott K. Gilbert, Jr., will present his program entitled “Native Americans in the Civil War” at the Old School History Museum’s Sunday lecture series on August 4th at 2:00 p.m.
This unique and fascinating program will focus on General Stand Watie of the Cherokee Nation and the Native American tribes in the Southeast aligned with Confederate forces.
The lecture is free, but donations are appreciated. Refreshments to follow in the Museum.
