The Lake Country Players will be presenting “The Robber Bridegroom”, their first Broadway production featuring live musicians, this August. This captivating show promises to be a remarkable experience for all attendees.
‘The Robber Bridegroom’ is a rousing, rowdy Southern bluegrass fairytale from the Pulitzer Prize winning author of Driving Miss Daisy! Set in 18th-century Mississippi, the show follows Jamie Lockhart, a rascally robber of the woods, as he courts Rosamund, the only daughter of the richest planter in the country. The proceedings go awry, however, thanks to a case of double-mistaken identity. Throw in an evil stepmother who’s intent on Rosamund’s demise, her pea-brained henchman and a hostile talking head-in-a-trunk, and you have a rollicking country romp.
The seating arrangements will consist of round tables accommodating 8, 4, or 2 guests. Specific seats can be reserved without the obligation to purchase the entire table. The ticket price is $30 per person, and we anticipate high demand.
In addition to the enthralling performance, you also have the option to enhance your experience by ordering delectable Charcuterie Boards for Lake Country Players - Chef Brent Cuisine. These delectable boards will be delivered directly to your table, providing a delightful culinary complement before or during the show. To place an order, simply visit the link on our website and provide your table letter and date of your performance along with your request. Please note that orders must be placed before August 8th. As always, Festival Hall will be offering a selection of beer, wine, and sodas for purchase.
Tickets become available to the general public on July 24.
The show is Directed by Charlotte Mosteller; Donna Valvo as Music / Vocal Director, Tom Shalin as Instrumentalist Director, and Maureen Brower as Choreographer.
