Summer Reading Kick-Off Party

Kick off Summer Reading with a fun-filled community celebration on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the library. Enjoy games, prizes, goody bags, and a special opportunity to read to adorable puppies on the back patio, courtesy of the Lake Oconee Humane Society. This free family-friendly event is open to the entire community and is the perfect way to start a summer of reading and discovery.

Shakespeare Camp!

Let your child step into the world of theater at Shakespeare Camp, hosted by the Atlanta Shakespeare Company at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center from June 1–5, 2026. Designed for students in grades 2–8, this immersive camp gives young performers the opportunity to learn acting, storytelling, and stage skills from professional teaching artists.

Camp runs daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Hall on Foster, culminating in a live performance on Friday, June 5, at 3:00 PM in the historic auditorium. Camp tuition is $375, and children of MMCC members attend free.
