In addition to a daily Karate Lesson, playing games & watching movies Master Ray and his staff will teach students how to become better “Leaders”, how to use “Teamwork” to accomplish difficult task, how showing “Respect” to others will help them be “Respected”. We will also safely introduce students to the benefits of Tang Soo Do training, and how it can help them become strong & healthy.

Backyard Critters Week Summer Camp at Georgia College & State University
Backyard Critters Week at Bobcat Explorers Summer Camp invites young nature lovers to explore the fascinating world of insects, animals, and outdoor ecosystems on the Georgia College & State University campus in Milledgeville, Georgia, near Lake Sinclair. This hands-on nature and science summer camp for kids encourages curiosity, observation, and environmental awareness through engaging outdoor activities.
Throughout the week, campers discover the tiny creatures and wildlife that share our environment. Through interactive exploration and guided learning, children gain a deeper understanding of how different animals and insects contribute to healthy ecosystems.
Camp activities include:
Observing insects and backyard wildlife
Exploring local habitats and ecosystems
Learning how animals and bugs support the environment
Hands-on science and nature discovery activities
Outdoor exploration and environmental learning
By the end of the week, campers leave with new knowledge, greater confidence, and a stronger appreciation for the natural world around them.
Collaboration with GCSU Academic Outreach
Backyard Critters Week is presented in collaboration with Georgia College & State University Academic Outreach, bringing educational expertise and engaging learning experiences to campers. This partnership helps provide meaningful science exploration while keeping activities fun and age-appropriate.

This specialty week is part of the Bobcat Explorers Summer Camp program at Georgia College, one of the most engaging summer camps for kids in Milledgeville and the Lake Sinclair area.
In addition to nature exploration, campers enjoy a well-rounded summer camp experience that includes:

Daily Recreation & Swimming
In addition to expert-led programming, campers also enjoy daily recreation and swim time in the outdoor campus pool (weather permitting).
Certified lifeguards supervise all swim sessions to ensure camper safety.
Important swim information:
Campers must pass a swim test to swim without a life jacket
Life jackets are required for campers who do not pass the swim test
Pool time is supervised by certified lifeguards

Karate, Games + More Summer Camp // July
Join Mr. Ray for an exciting and enriching summer camp experience at their 17th Annual Summer Camp - Karate Edition! If you're seeking a fun-filled camp for your son, daughter, or grandchildren, look no further!
Ages 4 through 12
At Summer Camp, students will enjoy a daily Karate lesson, engaging games, and movies, all while learning valuable life skills from Master Ray and his dedicated staff. Participants will discover how to become strong leaders, work as a team to overcome challenges, and show respect to earn respect in return. They will also be introduced to the benefits of Tang Soo Do training for strength and overall health.
Each day will be packed with a variety of activities, including meditation, stretching, exercise, Karate, games, movies, water fun days, child safety, and bully prevention lessons. And let's not forget the exciting pizza party on Fridays to wrap up a fantastic week!
Summer Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with early drop-off available at 7:45 a.m. Participants will receive a free "Summer Camp T-Shirt" and enjoy drinks throughout the week. Students are required to bring a packed lunch and snacks Monday-Thursday, Capri Sun and water provided.
Conveniently located on Harmony Road, just 1/4 mile off Lake Oconee Parkway in Putnam, Greene, and Morgan Counties, Summer Camp is easily accessible to families in the area.
To secure your spot, print and complete the registration form, a $50 non-refundable deposit per student per week is required. Balance is due in full by: June Camp, Friday 6/7, July Camp, Friday 7/19

Week 8: Under the Sea
The Little Deep Sea Divers will dive into an ocean of fun! They will be learning about the many animals and plants that live and grow in the ocean. From a sandy beach sensory bin to sorting sea shells by size, shape and color, little divers will have plenty fun.

Equestrian Camp at Lake Oconee Equestrian Center
Equestrian Camp
Lake Oconee Equestrian Center invites your horse-loving child to join them for a unique Summer Camp experience — taking place July 7–11, from 9AM–2PM.
This camp is designed with care, providing a thoughtful introduction to horsemanship and horseback riding in a peaceful, professional setting. The camp is intentionally kept small — just 6 campers — allowing the horse riding school to offer each child attentive guidance and a memorable, hands-on experience with horses. Their Inclusive Day Camp will offer a variety of activities including waterfront, boating, sports activities, GaGa pit, crafts, archery, and more. It is Christian based with values of inclusion and acceptance. At the moment, this Day Camp is offered for children in 3rd-5th grades
Aldersgate Homes are committed to creating a place where children of differing abilities can learn and play together while forming community!

The first week of June, Woodlands at Lake Oconee Church will be hosting a Woodlands Freestyle day camp on their campus. This event is catered to UpStreet kids, ages 5-11, offering a week of fun activities and valuable lessons. Led by the experienced Woodlands Camp team and supported by volunteers from Lake Oconee Church, this is an opportunity not to be missed for children looking to grow and connect in a meaningful way.

Designed for ages 6-15, Golf Camp is great for campers looking to sharpen their golf skills! Spend a gorgeous day out on the course with Coach Clay Chappell. The camp will be filled with games and activities to help your camper learn the ropes of the game of golf!

Wilderness Camp, Session 2 // Oconee County Parks & Recreation
Designed for ages 8-15, Wilderness Camp will experience the outdoor world around them. Campers should expect to get dirty while exploring the woods surrounding Oconee Veterans Park.
Activities include tree climbing (using a rope, harness and helmet), wilderness survival, and natural habitat exploration where they dig deep into the world of creepy crawly, slithery and slimy (including insects, plants and wildlife).
Lead by Jody Rice, Executive Director of Wild Rice Adventures. Campers should wear comfortable clothing, sneakers/hiking boots and bring a snack and water bottle!

Cross Country Camp // Oconee County Parks & Recreation
This camp will be a fast paced, fun learning environment for those interested in the sport of distance running. Activities will include running, strength exercises, hurdle drills, form analysis, games, stretching and activation as well as visits from guest speakers.
Camp will be instructed by Wesley John, UGA Track Team/Cross Country Team athlete along with other collegiate athletes. Campers should wear running shoes, athletic clothes, and bring a snack and a water bottle.

Designed for ages 6-10, the D-1 Fitness Camp is instructed by the D-1 Training staff who specialize in the proper training of movement necessary for a variety of athletic endeavors.
Instructors will use fun and creative methods to work on strength, speed, agility, and conditioning that can be used for a variety of sports.
This will be a fun and exciting camp with a goal to teach fitness and training methods that athletes can use throughout their lives, adapting them to their various disciplines as their sporting interests change.
Campers should wear athletic shoes and clothes, and bring a snack and a water bottle.

Beginner Basketball Camp // Oconee County Parks & Recreation
Designed for ages 6-8, Beginner Basketball Camp will sharpen your camper’s skills on the court and teach them the value of teamwork. From drills and games to other fun activities run by experienced coaches, this camp is great for a basketball star in the making!

Wilderness Camp, Session 1 // Oconee County Parks & Recreation
Designed for ages 8-15, Wilderness Camp will experience the outdoor world around them. Campers should expect to get dirty while exploring the woods surrounding Oconee Veterans Park.
Activities include tree climbing (using a rope, harness and helmet), wilderness survival, and natural habitat exploration where they dig deep into the world of creepy crawly, slithery and slimy (including insects, plants and wildlife).
Lead by Jody Rice, Executive Director of Wild Rice Adventures. Campers should wear comfortable clothing, sneakers/hiking boots and bring a snack and water bottle!
