Newly Open Businesses
Southern Dock Solutions
Serving Lake Oconee & Lake Sinclair
There's something refreshing about a business built around genuine love for the lake and that's exactly what Mac Bedor brought to life when he launched Southern Dock Solutions.
A fireman working two full-time departments while raising three boys at home, Mac started Southern Dock Solutions so he could spend more time on the water, build something for his family, and help lake homeowners actually enjoy their weekends instead of spending them on dock maintenance.
Southern Dock Solutions handles the full picture of dock and boat care: pressure washing docks and boats, spider web and dirt dauber removal, canvas cleaning on boathouses, dock board tightening, hardware, ladders, solar dock lights, and dock bumpers. Mac's standard is simple: he leaves it cleaner than he found it, every single time.
Packages are flexible and built around how you use the lake. Options range from monthly year-round service to seasonal on-and-off schedules, semi-annual, or one-time cleanings. Monthly subscribers get extra perks too; courtesy cleans before birthday parties or big events, and a post-storm check if you don't live on the lake full time. Boat detailing is also available for anyone who wants their boat weekend-ready without lifting a finger.
If you're a non-resident owner, Mac is especially worth a call. He can check in on your dock, boat lift, and boat slip after storms or between visits so you're not left wondering what's waiting for you when you arrive.
Clearwater Aquatic Management
Serving Lake Oconee & Lake Sinclair
If you've been battling weeds, muck, or murky water in your cove or pond, there's a new local business worth knowing about.
Stacey launched Clearwater Aquatic Management earlier this year, and what sets her apart is simple: she's not a one-time spray and disappear operation. Clearwater offers full-season aquatic management, checking in regularly and doing whatever it takes to keep your lake frontage clean and healthy all summer long. That includes weed treatment, muck removal off the bottom, debris clearing from your cove, dock or pond, the full picture.
Stacey is Georgia Power approved, fully insured, holds her business license, and carries both her Category 26 aquatic herbicide license and DNR certification, so you can feel confident the work is being done right and by the book.
And here's something new she's just introduced that we think Lake Country people are going to love: lake bottom mats. If you're one of those folks who'd rather not feel what's lurking on the bottom when you step off the dock (no judgment - same), Stacey can place a 30x30 mat in your swimming area so you've got a clean surface underfoot all season. She'll pick it up when the season wraps. Additional mats can be added if you need more coverage.
Whether you're a homeowner or HOA prepping for a summer full of lake days or just finally ready to tackle that overgrown cove, Clearwater is a great local option to call.

Fun In A Flash Photo Booth
Serving Madison, Greenesboro and Eatonton
Sometimes the best businesses are born at a party. When Jennifer Gore's son got married, she hired a photo booth — and watching guests laugh, pose, and walk away clutching their little printed memories, she couldn't stop thinking about it. She called her friend and fellow Eatonton mom Amy Foster, and the two of them landed on the same question at the same time: why doesn't Lake Country have this?
Now it does. Fun In A Flash Photo Booth is Jennifer and Amy's answer to that question — a locally owned photo booth rental service bringing professional-grade fun to weddings, graduation parties, proms, birthdays, and corporate events across Eatonton, Milledgeville, and the Lake Sinclair area. Every rental includes unlimited digital photos, instant sharing by text or email right from the booth, custom screens, and LED studio lighting. They handle all the setup and teardown, so you just show up and smile. If you've got a celebration coming up this season, these two are absolutely worth a call.

Freedom Boat Club
Lake Sinclair Marina
Freedom Boat Club is expanding and it's good news for Lake Oconee members. The world's largest boat club is opening a new location on Lake Sinclair at Lake Sinclair Marina, expected to launch around June 4. That means current members will soon have access to both lakes under a single membership, with the club's new tagline summing it up well: "One Membership. Two Lakes. Endless Memories."
The Lake Sinclair location will be owned and operated by Deano and Heather Cantrell, who have run Freedom Boat Club's Lake Oconee locations for the past 11 years. For those unfamiliar with the club, membership means access to a maintained fleet of boats with no ownership headaches: no storage, no insurance, no cleaning. Just show up and get on the water. Pho & More
113 Harmony Crossing, Eatonton
Lake Country just got a little more delicious, and we are so excited to welcome Pho & More to the community.
This family-owned Vietnamese restaurant has officially opened their doors at Harmony Crossing in Eatonton, bringing authentic flavors of Vietnam right here to Lake Country. They have hit the ground running — and by all accounts, the community has shown up in a big way.
A gentle reminder to our wonderful Lake Oconee neighbors: this is a brand new small business, family-run and figuring it out in real time just like we all do. They are training new kitchen and waitstaff while serving a packed house, and that takes grace. Extend a little patience, leave an encouraging word, and show them the same warmth this community is known for.
