Join Rock Eagle environmental educators Saturday, October 20th for a guided canoe trip around Rock Eagle Lake. Enjoy an active morning with family as we explore the history of the grounds and search for native wildlife. Rock Eagle’s picturesque scenery provides the perfect opportunity to see ospreys, turtles, fish, and other exciting creatures. This session is open to everyone; whether you are a novice looking to learn how to properly paddle or a veteran craving a lazy morning jaunt on the water. 
This program is appropriate for all ages and costs $3 per person. The program will last approximately two hours, 9:30am-11:30am. Doors will open at 9am. Rock Eagle staff will accompany participants and provide all necessary equipment. If you’ve never been canoeing before, this is a great place to learn. Instructors will go over boat safety, equipment, and help to perfect your paddling. Our educators are all CPR and First Aid Certified. Guests will convene in the center’s Natural History Museum preceding the program. Advanced registration for this program is required. Children under the age of 9 must canoe with parent or adult chaperone.
